Awards, HGTV and David Bromstad Oh My!!
I recently accepted an award in New Orleans from Visions Magazine for the drapery treatment that I did at the Designer Showhouse of NJ. I won 2nd place in the Whole Room Integration category, which was a fabulous honor. While I wandered through the Expo Center, I came across the HGTV booth; what a wonderfully friendly group of people. After talking with them and showing off my website, I was invited to their invite-only, Happy Hour Party.
I got to meet David Bromstad, from the hit show “Color Splash,” and The Kitchen Cousin! I was impressed with how down to Earth they were. David is just like you would think he would be: sweet, funny and of course gorgeous. He loved my dress, which I consider a huge compliment!! I had an memorable night with everyone at HGTV, and they convinced me to do a test screen audition the next day.
The test screen audition for HGTV was actually fun! It really surprised me that I didn’t feel nervous, and I really enjoyed it. I think it went well and hope that HGTV might contact me in the future! You never know…
